Fuelling His Anger

(Paul Foxton)

This song was originally written for the Millennium Volunteers EP which I was involved with when I decided to sign up with Ryan as Urban Reality. I had fallen ill and had just come out of hospital. Although I was bedridden, I rolled onto the floor with a pen and paper and scrapped some lyrics down. These songs were written under constrained conditions in that, for it to qualify for MV funding, I had to write about contemporary things and raise awareness of issues to young people. I choose anorexia and drug abuse. Although I had experience of drug users through my outreach work, most of this song was written from guesswork. This song is rocky, edgy and deliberately short and fast like the hit you would get from taking a drug. It barely starts and it is over, but is a fast short-lived thing. This song was popular in the office at work and it seemed a good starter track for the album.
